Can I embed pictures in the introduction area of my guide?

So I am creating a guide, and I am curious to know if I can embed pictures in the introduction area of my guide? I figure since its all a wiki, this would be possible, if so, how do I do this?

Yes! While editing a guide, select the '’’Introduction’’’ tab of the guide, upload the image/s you would like to include in this section to Guidebook. Follow the process to upload an image.

After uploading your image, click your cursor to the line you would like to have your image appear at. Next, drag and drop the image into the Introduction area. You will see the following text appear:

[image|<id>|size={standard,medium,original}|align={left,right,center}|caption=<text>]

The size and align arguments are optional, and the defaults are standard and right respectively. The caption argument is also optional, and defaults to no caption. If you add caption text, it should (for now, at least) be plain text that doesn't make use of wiki markup.

I could not get this to work. I tried manually typing the image code and it just showed up as text. Could you clarify how I could get this to work?

We no longer support the addition of images in the Introduction section of the page, as this allowance interferes with the visual layout of the page as a whole. An introductory video can be uploaded in this section, however, images are reserved for guide steps only.
