[* icon_note] The depth of the notch was not critical for the purpose of this guide. However, you should use a ruler to mark where to cut out the notch.
[* black] First reposition the workpiece so that able to cut out the notch.
[* black] Make the first mark on the workpiece by aligning the ruler to the depth of the cut, then drawing a straight line to the top of the workpiece.
[* black] Draw another line to the across the top of the workpiece. This will be the line you'll follow with the dozuki in order to create the notch in the workpiece.
