Workshop: Designing Competence


Shaun Browne, President of the Digital Mentor Group, teaches viewers how to develop and maintain a people-first company environment. "People-first" means building a quality-focused culture in your workplace—starting with your initial training processes. Shaun walks through building competent, capable employees and covers a variety of practical exercises that you can implement at your company today. 

Designing Competence includes:

  • Defining your standards of employee performance—including skills, knowledge, and behavior
  • Determining the sequence of training in order to minimize risk and maximize productivity
  • Crafting your work instructions and training material to ensure competence
