What's new in the release for February 2nd, 2012?

The Dozuki platform was upgraded on February 2nd, 2012, what changes were included in this new version?

This was a big sync as we are eagerly pushing towards our Production Launch of Dozuki.

New Features

  • Added Delete buttons to all wiki pages
    • Category Pages
    • Wiki Pages
    • Info Pages
    • Item Pages
  • New privilege system implemented
    • Moderators are able to:
      • See Users tab, Analytics, Moderation, and Site Explorer on /Manage.
      • Create / edit categories, force votes, edit any post and user profile. They cannot edit guides.
    • Authors are able to:
      • See Content, Site Explorer, Analytics, and Users on /Manage.
      • Create/edit guides+categories.
    • Admins are able to:
      • Access all tabs, including configuration and e-commerce.
  • Breadcrumbs enabled when navigating to user and team profiles.
  • Site visits from applicable mobile devices trigger pop up notification to user of availability of the Dozuki App and link to iTunes download.

Bug Fixes

  • Removal of text references to "Topics" from a variety of locations (manage, category pages and wiki pages) and replaced with "Categories".
  • Handled no escaping on HTML tag in text security issue.
  • Category filter bug fix on Answers- now filters correctly.
  • Plan-based number of admins and guides limit implemented.
  • Fixed inability to save when image drawer open bug.
  • Fixed lack of multi-line wrap for long text in "Site Description".

Optimizations

  • Improved instructions text when places images.
  • Improved user experience when dragging categories in the Category Manager to reorganize content hierarchy.
  • Help links updated for new guide creation process.
  • Created new automated tests for Meta links on Answers.
  • Users are now limited to 15 down votes per day on Answers.
