Are animated GIF images supported?

I know that Dozuki supports GIF images, but does that include Animated GIF's? They would be useful to me in guides to demonstrate a brief motion where a video would be excessive.

Hi Forrest,

Dozuki does not currently support animated GIFs. If this functionality is a crucial aspect to your use of the software, feel free to reach out to us directly at and we would be happy to add this request to our development wishlist!

A simple +1 for animated gifs.

Especially when putting together simple screenshots, video is often an overkill.

Has this been completely abandoned, or is it somewhere on some wishlist?

It hasn't been abandoned, but it's been low on the list. Interest noted!

:-)

Oh something that could make gifs cool in your eyes:

it's quite simple to ANNOTATE gifs.

CloudApp does it nicely.

It's oversimplified, as the annotations stay in one place - but I'd say that's the perfect use case for Dozuki since the gifs should be very short.

Have a short gif, equivalent to image, annotated with markers like a regular image. Could be very cool.

Here's an example for you.

Yes it is supported, you will get ideas how to create GIF and How to create Animated GIF from this website, here is link ..

@jerrypatelblog Please elaborate. When I add an animated gif through the media manager, dozuki does not even allow adding that image to a guide. How are you able to use animated gifs?
