I've been fixing things for a while now. I've got some background here, and more over at kylewiens.com.
I started iFixit, the free repair manual. I think technology will make life on Earth dramatically better if we take the care to do it right.

Answer to "Blurry Items Primary Image [bug?]"This should be fixed now — item pages are using a higher resolution image. Thanks for the suggestion, Filip!

Answer to "How do I link to Pages of a PDF?"You're right, it should be: [code] That's not working right now, and I think that's a bug / lack of a fully-tested feature. I'll look into enabling it.

Answer to "Weird PDF Title Handling AND No Way to Rename?"You're right, we should provide a way to rename the document once it's uploaded. We don't currently do that. I'll add it to our work queue, though — it's a good idea. The "stray piece of metadata" is the title of the PDF document, which is generally set in PowerPoint (or whatever tool you created the PDF with).

Answer to "How to create a guide for troubleshooting?"Sure, you can do troubleshooting documents like this. iFixit has extensive troubleshooting pages like this one for the iPhone that should give you an idea of the formatting.

Answer to "ITEMS: switch 'standard' image for 'large'"We plan on fixing [the bug that you reported last week](Blurry Items Primary Image [bug?]) by replacing the .standard file with the larger .medium file. At that point, you'll be able to do this!

Answer to "remove old account email"@Forrest is correct — you can reach out to support and we'll take care of it for you. You can also log in to the old account and change the email address on it to another account. Then log out and into the main account and change its email to your primary address. Good question! This will function the same on any Dozuki site, including iFixit.

Answer to "I can't use the word "!@#$" s-m-u-t"Well, you learn something new every day! I must profess I had complete ignorance of that meaning of the term, so I just checked my dictionary: the non-lascivious definitions are #1 and #2, and my ignoramus definition is a distant #3. You're right, and we're wrong. Sorry about that. We'll relax the filter. I'll update this once the fix is pushed to the live servers. Update: You can now use the word "smut" to your heart's content!

Answer to "API access to Items"We don't yet have an API endpoint for items, but we should. What information would you like to know about them? If you describe your usage scenario it will make it easier for us to design something that works for you.

Answer to "Document all the API parameters"We've been working hard on an update to the API, 1.0. It should be out soon (I think in a few weeks). It's basically done, but we haven't posted it yet because we've been running it past a few developers to get feedback. Here's the documentation for the 1.0 API. It's a bit better documented than 0.1 and adds support for video, which is coming down the pike. We added ?pretty as a convenience for ourselves—all it does is add whitespace to the JSON response so it's easier to read. (No program calling the API would want to use it.) But I reckon you're right, it can be mighty convenient and we should mention it in the docs. I'll do that.

Answer to "Can I have a custom favicon?"You're right, it certainly makes a difference. Adding custom favicons to the management console is on our to-do list. In the meantime, we can add one for you if you email us! feedback at dozuki.com.
