Hi, I'm Collin.
I am working on getting Dozuki ready for commercial use at iFixit. I also handle community outreach projects.
I am a 4th year Aerospace Engineering major at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
I'm originally from Dallas, TX so if you here me go on with "ya'll" and asking for "coke" instead of [insert name for carbonated beverage here], that's why.
I'll eat almost any kind of food if it doesn't have any of the following condiments on it:
*Mayo
*Horseraddish
*Mustards
*Salad Dressings
*Tartar Sauce
I am very passionate about Space Exploration, and plan to participate in the next space race that is unfolding today.

Answer to "How do I change the size of pictures or eliminate them"The Guide format is catered specifically towards documenting visual processes. If you do not have pictures of a given step or process, it would probably be best to use multiple bullets on a single step (limit of 8 total bullets). You can also include tertiary, non-procedural information at the top of a Guide in the Introduction Section. An additional alternative would be to create a Wiki Page. While Guides are step-by-step, structured documents, Wikis follow a much less structured format. For example, if you want to provide users with background information on what something is and how it works, then a Wiki is much more useful than a Guide. Here are a couple examples of some extensive wiki pages: (1) http://ipsgroupinc.dozuki.com/Wiki/Data_... (2) http://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Xbox_Troubles... You can then choose to link the URL of the wiki page into the Introduction section of a guide, on specific bullets within a guide, or on a Category page. This makes it easy for you to provide reference information for...

Answer to "[br] does it work for comments to a guide?"Hey David, We currently do not support (or other complex wiki syntax) in guide comments. Guide comments are meant to be short, focused messages aimed at improving the quality of a guide. Comments support simple syntax including links, bold, italic, and quotes. Implementing this functionality is possible, but there are other higher priority features that we have on our development roadmap that we are focusing on for now. To name a few of the things we're working on: (1) Video support on steps (2) A brand new category UI (3) The ability to custom-reorder categories (4) A new version of the API (which includes write capabilities) (5) A new Android app that supports mobile guide creation. Can you provide an example of what you're trying to do? You can have multiple paragraphs in a comment by separating them with two newlines.

Answer to "How do I change the font style?"Currently, we do not support changing font styles within Dozuki plans. In the future, the ability to choose between different fonts for your site is a feature we're hoping to make available to larger Dozuki plans. This feature would be similar to the existing feature that allows you to choose from a few pre-made color themes for your site.

Answer to "How do I add items to my guides?"To include items to your guides, take the following steps: (1) Click Edit (2) Go to the Details Tab You can insert items within the List any required tools and the List any required parts sections of this page. I definitely recommend reading through the section of the The Codex that covers Tools and Parts. For even further information, peruse the following: (1) Getting Started with Items (2) How Item Pages Work

Answer to "Does Answers integrate with Guidebook?"In this case, your Customer's Question would be posted to the category that the Guide is associated with. Example: On iFixit, if a user posts a question about the iPhone 4S, these questions appear on the iPhone 4S Category Page. Below is a screenshot of this: Currently, there is not a way to link a Question/Answer post with a specific guide. Answers integrates with Categories only.

Answer to "Can I advertise my own products on my Dozuki site?"Absolutely!: Your Dozuki site is about your own topic or products of choice. It's your sandbox to promote your content in a way that aligns with your operations. Cross-linking the material from your Dozuki site to your main website helps both the user navigate through your content and online store, but also helps Google place your content higher up on search results.

Answer to "Can Guidebook be used for creating product manuals?"Yes!: You can create new, image-rich product and maintenance manuals using Dozuki! But you can go even further... You could create guides showing all the umpteen ways to use your product in a visual manner. This helps inform potential customers, assisting in their purchasing decision; or further educate your existing customer base with newfound ways to use your products.
