How to Make Guides Private to a User or a Team
Privacy
An overview of the various privacy settings and configurations available for your Dozuki site.
Overview
Privacy settings are valuable for both internal and public-facing websites to ensure certain content remains protected and is not accessible by every type of user coming to the site.
Dozuki supports various privacy settings to allow admins to customize access control over their site.
User Privileges
The easiest settings to customize are the privileges of individual users. Here is an overview of the default privacy settings for the different user types:
Standard Users
Standard users do not have the ability to view any private content on the site, unless expressly permitted with the Guide Page Privacy Settings.
Privileged Users
Authors and Admins can view (and create, edit or delete) any private content on the site. Upon request, access to private content can be reserved for Admins only, if necessary.
Changing User Privileges
Learn how to Edit User Privileges here. To manage which individual users can see what content, see step 3 of this guide.
Team Privileges
Open vs. Invite Only
Teams have two privacy options. The first is an open team, in which, anyone can join. The second is an "'Invite Only'" team, where members have to be invited by an admin or the page creator in order to join. For more information on how to configure privacy settings for teams, click here.
To see how to manage what information teams have access to, see step 3 of this guide.
